Singapore, renowned for its world-class education, consistently ranks among the top globally in mathematics and science. The country has launched several initiatives to expand the reach and quality of robotics education.

As part of WorldSkills Singapore (WSS) 2025, one of our distributors organized a nationwide robotics programming extracurricular course, “Robotic Arm Stacking with Blockly”, which introduced secondary school students to coding through visual programming. The program involved 20 schools across Singapore, 12 sessions, and roughly 30 students per session. Students used myCobot and the intuitive Blockly platform to complete robotic arm stacking tasks.

Course instructor Junbing noted, “We selected ER's educational robot arms for their ease of use, portability, and cost-effectiveness. Its ability to operate without an external PC makes it ideal for school settings. STEM and K-12 education often face challenges such as limited teaching methods and a lack of interactive tools. Leveraging ER's robots, we developed a hands-on curriculum that bridges theory and practice, broadening the scope of robotics education.”

A student from Nanyang Girls’ High School shared, “Using Blockly, I quickly got started and was able to explore more complex logic. This hands-on experience boosted my creativity and practical skills.”

Our post-course survey of 300 participants showed that 80% reported increased interest in robotics. This initiative extends beyond an extracurricular course, showcasing the myCobot as a practical tool to enrich teaching.
